Since licensing PixInsight back in the Fall of 2024, I have really been working hard to learn how to use this application. This article describes my workflow in simplicity in the hope that others will gain something useful from it. PixInsight is not cheap, and neither are the plug ins, but it is awesome. This workflow will get you from start to finish 99% of the time.

My workflow is a blend of several workflows that I have watched on YouTube. Please note that this is an extremely basic workflow and that there are many more tools available at your disposal and I encourage you to proceed and learn how to use them as well. YouTube is your best source for learning these tools.

My simple workflow proceeds as follows

A.       Stacking

Weighted Batch Pre Processing

B.       Color Calibration and Visibility

D.      AI Processing of Star Image and Background Noise Removal
